Good engine and virtually bullet proof. Also used in the armys Hummer H1

Al,
we have rebuilt quite a few over the years, not a good engine, parts are special order only even in the States, they hate them. Only consider it if it's low mileage.

well let hope its ok, I picked it up today for my uncle, its only got 20k on it, so lets hope it dont ned too much. Will pass this thread onto him.

I personally never had a problem with them. Had an ex USAF pick up and never had a problem with it. Friends have ex- army Hummer H1,s and never had problems with them either. And speaking to some that have been using up-armoured(2-3 extra tons in weight) Hummers in Afganistan and Iraq,they dont seemed to have any engine problems either.
