Yep, Santa Pod on the 19th. Don't forget your drivers license and tea money.
Just look out for us up by the fence near the finish line.

Hi Joe, good choice. I've run a lightning as a daily driver for 7 years now. On my third and my business partner / brother in law runs one as well. Both black, both standard apart from a brembo GT brake kit on the front. 380 mm discs with 8 pot calipers. Nightmare to fit as they don't tell that they won't quite fit inside the 18" wheels as they narrow in towards the five spokes. The mechanic mate had to gradually shave the calipers to make them fit. Enjoy as it is a fantastic truck and in truth far better than most performance cars.

I have the AP racing brakes with that size rotor but I have 24" wheels so the fit was fine.

Ive been thinking about changing my TVR for one of these trucks...a couple of questions for anyone who can help)

Who do you use for insurance? and how much?
what sort of average mpg do you get?
Are they all left handers?
Approx yearly running costs?
How much is tax?

Cheers guys

Sorry to hijack the thread, but does anyone know of a red Lightning in Newbury, Berkshire? One very often drives by my house and seems to turn into a side road just down the road, but I've not worked out if the guys lives here or is just visiting. I'm only assuming now, but whoever lives near me has a number of cool cars visiting their house, the red Lightning, but also a couple of cars owned by the guy from Valley Gas Speed Shop (the shop F250 (I think - it's the 4-door crew cab that looks like the Harley version) in black, and also a '65-ish restomod Ford Falcon).

The Lightning had a plate that read something like "DAVE C"......so my 5 year old daughter shouts "Dave in the big red truck" every time is rumbles by our house biggrin

Gotta say, it really does sound flippin' lovely smile

Have seen that about and it was at the Rushmoor Show a few yers back.
Saw a white Mk2 Cortina with a blower out of the hood on Friday, Bone Lane area about 08:00hrs, I was coming out of the concrete plant - nice blower whine.

Yeah, I saw the truck at the ACW Lazy Sunday a few years back, but the owner wasn't around.

I'll have to keep an eye out for the Cortina!

Good day to all. Picking up a 2003 Lightning next week, as the new toy.

I live in South Scotland, wondered if there are any owners in this/Glasgow/Edinburgh/Newcastle area? Where do you go for servicing, parts, etc. Any meets? Any gossip? Anything appreciated....

For info, insured through Flux, 5000 miles a year max, for £420 comprehensive.
