Hi all, I'm trying put together a photoshoot for a model friend of mine to help with her career and to help with my photography progression.

My idea was for a period 50s/60s style photoshoot with one or a few cars from that era or even a cool Muscle Car from the 70s.

Muscle Cars
Custom cruisers like Mercurys, Cadillacs etc
Hot Rods
Rat Rods

The sort of pictures I'm going for are like

I've picked is this 50s style Diner for the location:

http://www.the50samericandiner.bravehost.com/FINAL...

This is a picture of Natasha who will be modelling.

The pictures will be artistic and not "Max Power" style and will be conducted with a profession attitude.

Unfortunately I am not able to pay you for the use of your car but I am willing to pay for lunch at the Diner for you and your partner on the day as a thank you.

We're hoping to do this photoshoot in either June or July. Would anyone with an American car from the 50s - 70s be willing to come along with their car for it to be used in the shoot?

If it was nearer London I'd volunteer.

Might be worth contacting American Auto Club UK as they've got loads of Midlands members with cars of all ages..

Ah cool, well I would like to be able to meet anyone coming beforehand to discuss the photoshoot etc so we know what's happening.

I'll speak to Natasha as well and hopefully we can all meet up. If you want to arrange a meeting you can email me peel1982@hotmail.com

Is there anyone else who would like to come along?

I would love to be able to have something like a Charger or Cuda there as well as a Hot Rod

I can't help you with the car as I'm in South London, but this is exactly the kind of thing I shoot all the time so I thought you might be interested in a look at my stuff, www.grantgb.comsmile

Thanks for the offer guys smile I know what a Charger would be like on fuel across to the Diner so I understand.

Nick bbb, nice pics on that website! Would love to be able to shot pics like that regularly.

would of been a good idea to ask the diner before organizing a photo shoot!

My reason for not asking just yet is that I didn't want to commit to a date with no car and possibly no model as I would like to work round their own plans before asking so as not to waste your time.

It was always my intention to contact you immediately after I have met up with the car owner and the model to discuss any possible date available but I would like to make sure the car and model are available most weekends before arranging a date with you. That way I don't have to worry about either the car or model aren't available on that date.

The last thing I want to do is waste anyones time before committing to dates.

Why not come to Gary's Picnic at Avonpark last weekend in May
Plenty of cars and what a background for photoshoot.

Hmmm I'm intrigued though I'm away camping that weekend with friends.

Is it a regular or a once a year thing?

Yes it is mate.
You also have the Mopars Euro Nationals at Santapod later in the year.
Any decent Run What Ya Brung would have a fair collection of American Musscle

That's cool but as said in my first post, I don't plan on the pictures been of the typical car show "max power" type so I'm trying to keep away from shows/events and be as low key as possible as we're aiming for a more artistic approach.
