American Car Insurance...
Discussion
Can anyone recommend any insurer's who are reasonable for american import car insurance?
Tried a few places and they all say cant insure because of LHD/Import/American etc....
Im under 25 aswell so i cant get any trade policy etc.
The cars are an Escalade 2003 and a Cadillac SeVille although the SeVille will be limited mileage.
Thanks for your help.
Tim.

Tim,,
Steer clear of MCE...despite the fact that they will probably post up and offer all kinds of apologies, I have found they give good cheap quotes but the paperwork side is truely lacking with the wrong data recorded etc etc and then problems when making a claim.
There is a long insurance thread on MOCGB (mustang owners club) about just the topic.
I have found Adrian Flux to be good as well as A Plan...Have used all three (inc MCE) and would only recommend the latter two.

Steve, Cheers mate, I'll check them out.;)
Scott, Thanks for the info, I'll keep them in mind. Appreciated very much .
Kev, You seem to be the guy with all the info and answers when it comes to Yankie's, Think i'll be adding a new friend to my very short friends list Lol.
Thanks Kev, Iv heard a few bad stories about MCE aswell, ironically more comes through bad than good when searching there name. Thanks again, for the advice and info. Its always very much appreciated.
Didnt want to say my age as the usual comments surround , But im only 21 and thats a good part of the issue i think with most ins. companys.
And before anyone says, No mummy and daddy didnt buy anything and im not involved in anything remotely dodgy or drug related. I work hard, dont drink or do drugs and respect having money.

Tim,
Experience has only come by owning and running US vehicles for a number of years...the best one was the Saleen Mustang but thats gone and a Saleen F150 Harley truck is in its place. (better on tax )
Age isnt an issue mate....if you've worked for it then you are entitled to it and dont let anyone else tell you otherwise. Its your money so do what you want.
On the MOCGB, there is a guy called Neil who is in the same boat. Worked hard and now has a Cobra Mustang.....
Life is too short to put things off...if it dont work for you then at least you can say you tried it....
There are a few guys from your neck of the woods over on rebel-v8.com who have some decent US vehicles. If you want some more 'advice'...LOL have a look over there...

Another vote for Sureterm Direct from me. When I bought my Camaro in 2007 they were about 150 quid cheaper than anyone else and with a lower excess. I'm much older than you so maybe that might make a difference - depends what group they prefer to insure I guess. Worth checking out anyway.
