Longlife Stainless Steel Exhausts

were abouts are you?
just had mind done on srt 10
I think my nearest is going to be Basingstoke. My main concern is with intrusive droning at cruising, something I know is an issue with the Magnaflow. Problem is with the damn exchange rate being so bad sensible options are very limited, hence the thoughts of a local bespoke one.just had mind done on srt 10
I want it to be an aural delight kind of mid sound level, but not intrusive for normal motorway cruising.

I put one of these systems on my 07 300c SRT-8 - best exhaust system I've ever invested in.

A little pricier than Corla/Corsa/Magnaflow, but just right for this car.
That said, the stock system is very efficient/free-flowing. You get more hp benefit from induction-side mods than exhaust, with this motor.
Don't forget to pull fuse #11

Thanks Matt, I quite often pull fuse 11, got in to the habit with my 300C CRD. Performance wise I'm quite happy, managed this 0-60 time today with 3 people in the car and a full tank of fuel!www.zoomersexhaust.com

This car is so misunderstood. Best sleeper secret on the planet.

Wow, that is quick. Best I've managed is 4.9 and change. What mods/tyres are you running, Stef?

That is absolutely stock, ESP on partial and left foot holding brake, engine at 2,000rpm and then I just let brake off and floored it. Running on original Goodyear Eagle F1's. Road was dry and level. This car is so misunderstood. Best sleeper secret on the planet.

Varying quality. My Z28 apparently had 3 different grades of S/S on it. I entrusted my 2005 Mustang to a guy here in Cardiff - www.pro-speedexhausts.co.uk
Charlie is a bit of a legend round here with fantastic quality and good prices. If you check it, you'll see he's done Chryslers before so may be able to give you a price. I know I paid a few hundred less than Longlife charged me a few years before so it may even be worth the trip. As a reference, i imported some "zero-drone" Corsa exhausts but they were a little too quiet. Charlie's set-up is louder round town but amazingly, despite being half the weight of the Corsas, makes practically no drone.
Charlie will also listen and make the exact system you want.

interesting as i have done exactly the same. imported the corsa and its too pussy for me, in fact the least loudest thing i own.
its lovely and exotique at full chat but i want the presence at idle and it just isnt there.
cardiff a fair way to go. how long did it take him to do it and roughly what did you pay.

I arrived about 9am and was out by 12 IIRC but it was 2006. I think the cost was around £300 but obviously the cost depends on the going price for stainless steel and of course, the pipes you want. The cost i paid included the dounble-walled tips which were £50 each on their own and interestingly are identical to the Corsas.
To be honest, it's not violently louder than the Corsa but it does make a far better rumble at low revs so I can hear it. It also weighs about half what the Corsas weighed. A friend of mine has a Z06 with no mufflers and occasionally I think the car is too quiet but that's not what the neighbours think so i think the balance is about right. Some of the Mustang lads have bought electric cut-outs which gives you the best of both worlds.
i have the cut outs on the way from the US but i think that might be the compromise im looking for but its an extreme.
i have no idea what it might sound like in the traffic outside harrods etc.
the corsa lovely at WOT but pretty lame at normal but great for a long ride as no drone at all 3k a head tuner and 5k a traffic stopper 6.5k WTF. idling in traffic a tad above your average family car.
i need a dial on the dash to select my mood. hangover and playtime.
