Cadillac Seville STS 1998
Discussion
Is there an obvious sign for HGF? I've found a 1998 car for around 2.5k so don't want a big bill, its showing 44k miles. Also, after starting it from a flat battery, it had codes 'exp id 140' and 'exp id 53' (or 'exp id 50' cant quite remember). Anything to worry about or will they clear?

The SLS was essentially a model level down. There aren't, as I remember, any RHD SLS's in the U.K..... As fo the expedite codes, you need to check as it will give you exp codes for having the door or boot open, or for having the park brake on......not necessarily faults. Nothing obvious on the head gaskets sadly, you really have to just take your chances.....ETA: Whats the difference between the STS and SLS?

Thanks for the reply Mitch, as I thought the lower model. Probably still good, but not top $$$ like the STS. I'm actually in New Zealnd and thought about selling my 300C and having the Cadillac as a cheaper runabout. Maybe if I got it around the 2k GBP Back on OP topic, JakesterUK, did you go and look at the STS??
I have owned a STS and thought is was a excellent car head gaskets seem to be the norm to watch out for!
And yes there are some SLS models in RHD about these were not offical as Vauxhall never sold them on the price guides but I know of about 3 Vauxhall supplied SLS you can tell them from the rear 4 pipes instead of 2 big pipes the front grill does not match the car diffent alloys and no Bose sound system also only 275 bhp.
