1991 Caddy STS
Discussion
Not many people in the UK are brave enough to by an old STS. Having looked and and traded quite a few, outside of the die hard cadillac enthusiasts (who will only take clean, low miles cars) they are worth about 2p, and that's before the head gasket goes (or the expensive alternator, brake sensors...).
Some people think that they are the best car they have ever owned...
Having covered a few miles in them I would say that they are nice and comfy on the motorway and very good at going over speed bumps.
They must have something going for them as the head of aftersales for Cadillac UK always used to hassle me for one (and he must have a good idea about weighing up the pros. and cons.!), but refused to pay more than £1000.
Scout around for one going through a major auction centre, as you will get a decent one for <£1500, but moght have to spend a bit of time looking around.

I think he buys his head-gaskets cheaper than everyone else. Probably helps James
