Radweld

Earlier in the year one of my radiator hoses developed a tiny pinprick hole. To tide me over until the new hose arrived, my mechanic poured some Radweld into the cooling system. Despite emptying and refilling the coolant I still have a horrible gunky residue. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to completely flush the system so that it is nice and clean again?
