The battery in my Trans Am is dead and won't take a charge. It's one of those side terminal ones with the screw fitting (rather than the raised nipple type you get on Euro/Jap cars).

Looking around they're over £100 which is nuts, I can buy some adaptors to convert it to a Euro-style battery but if poss I'd rather keep it as intended. Anyone know where I could buy a proper battery without having to spend all that?

Cheers

I think many of the Vauxhall batteries fit from most auto shops/dealers and are way cheaper.. Used to be a thread on Corvette forum I think..

The Vauxhall Sintra has American side terminals.
If your in Leeds speak to Ian at Town Hall Batteries, he's got them in stock.
Tell him Gareth from UKB sent you.

That's useful, hopefully the polarity is in the same direction.

Cheers for that.

So I found a proper side terminal battery, however my old bolts are incorrect for it.

Anyone know of a UK supplier for some of these:

Usual places have drawn a blank.
