Discussion
I would just like to recommend this company, I gather they have been mentioned before but last Friday I called my local Aberdeen Jeep dealer to ask for a price for a gearbox mount. They refused to discuss my requirement or look into it until I gave them a chassis number, they then quoted me £79 !!! (By the way the mount is the same for all Jeep TJs)
I ordered one online from RockAuto for £29 inclduing basic Fedex and it was delivered this morning, I was expect a 6 to 10 day wait, so less than 2 working days on top of a great price was excellent.

I have also used them, twice now and can't receomend them enough, fast efficient and quick to respond to my initial e emails. I had to pay £75 for a headlamp through a uk parts supplier before I discovered Rock Auto, same unit was 23 dollars so I ordered 2 spare, recentley ordered a cat for my Camaro only 125 dollars and here within 4 working days. Fantastic
Might use them myself, as it would appear to be a cheap enough option for smaller stuff, e.g. wheel bearings, seals, etc.
Worth checking out http://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/072402.html as there are a couple of discount codes posted there!!!
Ciao!

Thanks for the recommendation. I thought I'd give them a try and ordered a PCV valve and an intake air temp sensor from them on Friday. Was very pleasantly surprised to see the FedEx van pulling up outside with my delivery this morning.
As an aside, I've been using Summit and newgmparts.com up to now and have found that everything they have shipped (via USPS) has ended up being caught up in customs and then I've had to go and collect from Parcelforce and pay charges. Even when the order value has been below the customs charge threshold I've been landed with a 'handling charge'! Looks like FedEx stuff may come straight through. I know legitimate customs charges may arrive later in the post for higher value stuff, but at least it looks like with FedEx I won't end up paying handling charges on the lower value orders.

I'd come across this website before and hadn't really given it a proper look. Just ordered a few oil filters, a fuel filter and a couple of flasher units, got an email to say they'd been shipped on the 8th and they turned up this morning! Brilliant!
It's worth noting that if you choose two or more items from different warehouses they try to charge to multiple shipping charges....

I more or less no longer deal with any North American based companies that insist on shipping via courier, mainly because of the hassles of customs clearance charges (UPS is facing a class action in the 'States for these "mandatory" charges) and the fact that the couriers only deliver when I not in (i.e. office hours), resulting in a long journey to a depot on a Saturday morning...
Ordered from Rock Auto on Tuesday, received email to say order was shipped on Tuesday, so will watch with interest.

Update! I ordered about $70 worth of parts, namely 4 oil filters, a fuel filter and 2 hazard flasher units. Anyway the whole lot came to around £40 including the shipping and turned up in 2 days, very impressive!
About 2 weeks later I get a invoice from Fed-Ex for customs charges. £20 including a £6.88 admin charge!
Beware!

WTF? 40 quid's worth of parts attracts a 20 quid duty charge? Has Mr Brown gone and raised taxes or something?
By my logic it's 10% Duty (4 pound) plus 17.5% VAT (7 pound 70p)
I would dispute it!
Nowt to do with Flash Gordon. All the global couriers operate a system by which they process "customs clearance" for parcels, which is why I try to avoid couriers whenever possible. The main problem is that they can charge whatever the market will bear. I have heard of wide fluctuations in billing for (essentially) the same service.By my logic it's 10% Duty (4 pound) plus 17.5% VAT (7 pound 70p)
I would dispute it!
In the States, a class action lawsuit has started, claiming that UPS has operated an unlawful scheme to profit from the process (in part by not telling "customers" that they could have cleared the delivery themselves).
If you are close to an international depot, it can be worth saying that you will take responsibility for customs clearance, although that is difficult when you have not instructed the courier as, e.g. RockAuto has done in my case.

£7 was an "admin charge" and the actual duty was around £13, so your sums add up. Unfortunately I've paid it, not wanting to get stitched up for more! I won't order any more from RockAuto, which is shame because they seem to sell literally everything for my car. By my logic it's 10% Duty (4 pound) plus 17.5% VAT (7 pound 70p)
I would dispute it!
As it happens I've managed to source a new Y-pipe for my car for a very reasonable price from http://www.specauto.co.uk/. I'll probably use them from now on for everything.
