Hi
Anyone got any pointers on a Prowler purchase? any things in particular to look out for on them over & above the usual mechanical areas?
Have hunted around for a buyers guide but cant find anything anywhere
I suspect there must be a forum in the US for them somewhere. That'd be your best bet. Or look for an owners club.Anyone got any pointers on a Prowler purchase? any things in particular to look out for on them over & above the usual mechanical areas?

Having said that, I guess you won't have much choice so just buy on condition. Give it a really good look over and maybe an inspection.
Generally, look for an underpowered V6. Check!
Otherwise look out for acres of peeling chrome on the wheels. Check!
I was once tempted by one of these but all the reviews I read said they weren't very good. I saw a couple at shows and they are a little on the large side and if short, I'm fairly sure it's hard to see out of the back but maybe I imagined that.
I've seen a silver, yellow and purple one and the purple looks best.

Think I've only ever seen them in met purpley red.
Have to say if I wanted a rod this is where I'd go (or something similar anyhow):
