Fitting a Sony Din type stereo into a 1995 Camaro dash?

has anyone out there fitted a normal european stereo head unit into a 1995 Camaro? I am trying to locate a dash "adapter kit" as the Amercan "stereo" (ha ha)and hole in the dash is completely different.

I have interwebed various sites but can't find anything that seems to do this. I can't beleive I am alone and the American excuse for a stereo is driving me bonkers
