Hi guys,
Can anyone recommend an insurance company to me?
I paid a deposit today on a 2001 Z28 Camaro, which I'll hopefully be taking possession of in around 1 months time (after SVA, MOT, service etc). I've tried a couple of places today, with the best quote being approx £720 for 12 months comprehensive, with a 5k mileage limit. Given that I've now turned 40 I was hoping at least one consolation would be cheaper insurance! Will pay whatever I have to, but was hoping to get something around the £500 mark.
Any suggestions?
Cheers
David

I just renewed with Sureterm. Their renewal quote for my 1999 Z28 was around £360 - and they offered 10% for Yank car club membership OR Yank CAR FORUM membership. Apparently I've got 21 days from renewal date to get that sorted. So if any of you belong to a Yank car club forum you should be able to get discount that way as well. Apparently they just need the admin/owner to send confirmation.
I was looking at a couple of clubs anyway but very handy to know.

Maybe I'm old but no company has ever been remotely interested in that as a factor when I take out insurance. Weird isn't it, how they chop and change dependent on who is applying.I was looking at a couple of clubs anyway but very handy to know.

I'm old too - they ain't doing me favours for being part of the internet generation!
They classed Yank car forums alongside clubs as a sign of caring ownership. You're more likely to be an enthusiast if you're a member I suppose - and therefore less likely to trash your car. Strange they include forums though, not heard of that one before.
