Anyone looking at a change?
Discussion
Currently looking at either selling or part-xing my 2005 Monaro for something American/interesting.
I'm a big fan of things like the Charger but really just like interesting old American stuff from the old pick ups to cars like the Charger.
If you are or know of someone that might be interested please get in touch. The only downside with the charger is the huge size of it I don't know if I could get it on the drive!!!

Something like that yes! Or a VW Camper with a 3.2 porker But I miss going to the classic car shows actually in a classic car!
Challenger would be my ultimate but I seriously doubt it fitting on the driveway
ETA if you know of anyone after a well sorted Ro let them know

1st Gen Camaro mate! Tax free and no emissions.
There is a Yenko clone about with a 454 and 4 speed.
I am SERIOUSLY tempted by that one. In fact I am so tempted I haven't dared looking at it in fear of what my bank balance might do!There is a Yenko clone about with a 454 and 4 speed.
No £400 p/y tax, cheap insurance, appreciating in value, fast, classic lines... oh my god.... I am about to do something the wife wont like....

I know that feeling - the Ro was a great car - got rid of mine to go back to the American stuff but couldn't bring myself to go down the classic route again - not enough time - although agree nothing beats turning up to a classic show in a classic. If you opted not to go down the classic route the mustang gt is worth a look and very good with a few tweaks - very different to the Ro.I'm a big fan of things like the Charger but really just like interesting old American stuff from the old pick ups to cars like the Charger.

Rather bizarely the camper with a 3.2 is also an interesting and appealing proposition!

GO FOR IT RICH !!!!!
I'm going to go and see a 1971 Challenger 383 Big Block next weekend in Idaho.
The idea is to drive it back to SC, but its 2400 miles away
Its a very plain looking beast though, doesnt have the RT stripes or the raised/louvred bonnet.
Its only a 3 speed manual also!
After years of driving fuel injected Germany machinary- modernish stuff and after being forced to drive modern 4 cylinder front wheel drive characterless drivle in Germany (thanks to the bad weather and their pathetic tax system) I'm both frightened and excited to use this as an every day car. Part of me wants to make it into a Genuine Hemi Replica
We'll see how it goes

Go on Richard !! You on it makes sense.
That is a nice car.... If it's genuinely what it says, a reasonable price too.... (I'd put in a 6 speed personally, that 3.73 rear + 4 speed will be revving like crazy on the motorway,)GO FOR IT RICH !!!!!http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/443697.htm
Only problem is its a 69 and I really wanted a 67 or 68 because of the lights & grill.
I also agree about the 6speed & diff options.
This one is more like it:

I would put a spoiler on the back and some new rims but that's about it.
