Hudson (Hornet, I think)

Steve McQueen had one and Paul Newman was one. (In the Pixar film, Cars)

The number of unsceduled stops to take pics of cars and derelict buildings was nerd-worthy...
One of my favourite "finds" was this 67 Pace Car at Saligman

That is such a great looking car. It oozes late 40's/early 50's coolness.

cool

As an aside, I watched 'Cars' last night. What an ace movie, really imaginative and very entertaining.

According to the owner of the WigWam Motel the writers of Cars visited to measure the scale & layout.
The collection of cars parked up is representing models in the film, our WigWam had a tow truck outside, the Hudson was a recent addition.
Possibly the worst nights sleep ever with Route 66 on one side and the Santa Fe line on the other, but definatly worth it.

Hire car was a Pontiac Grand Prix GPX V8

Are we allowed to hijack it further or should we start a Route 66 thread do you think?

Here's a little wigwam or two from holbrook back in '05

Did you go far enough west to see the other Route 66 Wigwams in Rialto/San Bernadino? They were once infamous back in the days of motel rooms hired by the hour for the tag line "Do It In A Tee-Pee".

My 11 yr old son, who has dyslexic and dyspraxic tendencies, and is not totally into cars has just taken a quick glance and said it's a Hudson. I asked him how he knew, simple really it's Doc Hudson from Cars. We were totally astounded.
