Z28 95 Camaro - Excellent
Discussion
Well I got it at last!!! I have to say that this was the best purchase I ever made. I have had the car for 10 days now and it still brings a massive smile to my face!! I'm REALLY glad I waited for the V8 and didn't give in to the V6 though, Fantastic!!! Just got to sort out some suppliers for stuff (only need service kit for now).

Excellent, glad you like it. Get some photos up when you can, also speak to Keith at Eurovetes for bits, I have bought various things from him over the years.
Are they good for Camaro's? there website doesn't seem to mention them. CC car is an LT1 (not LS1)I don't know how to attach a piccy but htis is the link to the ad I bought it from.

Good choice of car!

Ref your slight niggle: - unlikely to be Optispark if it behaves like this on a regular basis, as an imminent opti failure will be be fine, then cough and die, restart, then generally never restart again.
Wise advise about the scanner. If you're unfamiliar with OBD1/2 diagnostics, heres' where you're going to learn.
You can with your 95 model display fault codes ' in house ' or on the dash with some clever links inserted into your OBD connector ( driver side next to and your right knee.
PM me for more details if you wish as i deal with technical queries at www.Z28.com also.
Best wishes.

Thanks - yup I saw your other thread after I posted. What a pain... I've heard about the optispark problem on the early 4th gens but I'm a bit of an automotive klutz tbh so can't help.
Just a thought, but maybe you could try the pontiac owners club forum to see if anyone knows anyone in your area that can help? They have regional reps that might be able to help. Same engine, same problem as the early 4th gen Firebirds. And if you're a girl - someone is bound to want to help... Not sure whether I can link to it in here but if you do a UK google search you should find it.
Oh, and I posted a couple of pics of mine here if you want to see mine (now I've seen yours) :-
