Unexpected find
Discussion
Just returned from a skiing trip to Switzerland, and on our last night we went to a restaurant with a lot of American muscle car memorabilia. On display. As we paid the bill a flyer appeared on the table talking about a showroom in the sky. In my best Fr'anglais I questioned the lady owner who beckoned us all to follow her and her husband.
Under the restaurant, 2000m up a windy roaded snow covered mountain, was an imaculate garage with a jukebox playing country music - and 13 modern Americam muscle cars.
The guy has a website and welcomes visitors, so I can post the details if anyone is interested. But it was an amazing find and the guy has been collecting for 30 years.

I'm working on a PDA so can't scan in the flyer at the moment, but the details are; his name is Bernard Rudaz and the restaurant is Relais des Mayens de Sion. Email, lerelais@bluewin.ch. His website, which I think features all his cars, is www.mayensdesion.ch.
He's got a couple Indy Pace Cars and the only 1992Firehawk SLP in Europe. I must confess to not knowing much about the rarity (or not)of his cars but you have to be impressed with anyone who is that obsessed!
Bernard did not seem to know of PH but would welcome contact and visitors.
It really topped off an already fab skiing holiday for me.

Actually I'm thinking of a long weekend maybe late summer/early autumn.
The only problem is that now I've been bitten again by the ski bug I'll just get frustrated there's no snow.... Not sure snow chains would be good on my car when we go out in December!
And yeah, he lays them up end October to end March.
