Any Essex based american pickup owners?
Discussion
Hi, recently bought a new UK spec Dodge Ram 1500 Quadcab Laramie and keep seeing a black Ford F150 Harley, a red Dodge Ram and a red Dodge Ram SRT10 Quadcab near to me in South Essex.
Interested in how you get on with them and what mods/accessories you've added, where you get them serviced etc.

Paul, not very local I know, but there is an Norfolk based F150 owner here on PH, evolutionvalet. It might be worth checking out his recent post here... http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
Good point about Mildenhall....loads of trucks up there around the RAF bases.
I've noticed a lot of trucks around our way too. There's a black/silver F150 Harley near me in Rayleigh, and a chap with a black one works in Eastwood. Seen several Dodge Rams too, in red, silver, black and one in yellow.
What colour's yours....I'll keep my eyes open.
Cheers, Neil.

Hey Paul,
I have a 2007 F150 Harley but its in a dark purple colour. Although I have had a 2003 Black F150 HD.
In South Essex, you wont be far from 51st State Autos where I get down to detail their cars. They sell quite a few, so cars and trucks are always going in and out of there. They are on Stewardson Road. Charles is a great guy and always up for a chat if you call him. I am sure he could help with the servicing side.
As for my servicing etc. I get my local Ford UK dealer to do the minor servicing such as oil filters etc so the service book still shows Ford stamps.
As the Ram is an official imported marquee, I am sure your local Dodge/Chrysler dealer should be able to service it.
For a major service, I will use Mildenhall Auto Services as they carry out all the warranty work on US servicemens cars and are very experienced in all models.
If there is anything specific then drop me a PM.
Cheers
Kev

The harley comes down my way quite a bit assuming it's the same one (the first Harley version with the rounder front from a few years ago).
Mines Patriot Blue with the 20" wheel option, what do you drive?
