As long as a manufacturer doesn't put all their eggs in one basket so to speak, it needn't be a problem.
GM for one has various partnerships going on [including a promising one with BMW] that puts them at the cutting edge of alternative fuel technology... though it may be a few years before that pays off.
Or if you cant wait that long subscribe for the digital version (exactly the same as print) for $8US for a year. Not much over £4!
