lincoln town cars?
Discussion
anyone know how long (in feet) these are? say 98 onwards? i've currently a BMW 328 and just wondered how much bigger they are? in standard non stretch form obviously!
anyone have or owned one in the uk too? how did you find parking it in our tiny spaces? i'm considering one but fear the length and width might be a bugger over here!
cheers for any help people!

still in 2 minds bout it but i saw a normal lincoln town car the other day round my way and it's not as wide as first thought, think i'd like to drive one first but there's not enough of them about to take for a test drive. holding onto the BM for now but i really do like them.
also considering a ford crown victoria but there not as nice on spec

I've driven plenty of Town Cars and they're dead easy to drive.
As the other chap said, everything is electric or automatic.
They're not exactly involving in any way, but they are superb motorway mile-eaters.
Trim quality is pants compared to a 328, but it seems to last well enough.
Servicing isn't an issue, I know a limo company with a 32ft long Towncar that didn't have a change of spark plugs until 100k miles. 100k city, stop / start miles.
They're strong, reliable, not too terrible on fuel, and they have bloody good aircon and comfy seats.
If that's what you want from a car, they're ideal. There have been times when I've been stuck in traffic jams and I've considered buying one...

exactly what i want by the the sounds of it. done the speed thing and just want a V8 burble lots of room and something that'll cruise at 80 or so with not a lot of effort and as i seem to spend loads of time in the car these days having loads of room and that huge front seat to stretch out on at rest stops would be really nice!As the other chap said, everything is electric or automatic.
