My 3rd gen IROC Z
Discussion
Here is one of the reasons for the depletetion of the worlds rescorces and ozone layer, my Chevrolet Camaro IROC Z 5.7. It is a 1988 model with several rare factory options, and some parts that were special order only. Its not bad bodily, but will be getting a strip down and rebuild soon, as a few localised repairs need to be done to the bodywork, but other than that it is great fun and always puts a smile on your face!
This is it from a feature in Dec 1995 issue of Classic American, thats not me with the nice sunnies in the pic but the previous owner with bad taste that painted the wheels gold.
When it is finished it should look similar to this

Very nice.A Z28 IROC was one of the cars i really wanted back in the early 90,s.I always thought that they were a better looking car than the TransAm.Even though they were the same car.I think it was that the front on the Z28 looked better than the TransAm.My brother has recently bought a 3rd gen model.Have a look on the (My brother has just bought)thread in this forum
If you're going to be rebuilding the car maybe consider adding sub frame connectors if it doesn't already have them. SFCs will tighten up the handling particularly on a t-top car. It should have a steering brace from the factory but if it doesn't then that's another part to consider installing as it improves response and helps prevent the frame from cracking around the steering box area.

It has the chassis brace like you say, it also has the G92 package, and extras like 145 mph speedo, alloy prop etc, which are very rare options, i also have the original build sheet from GM, they charge you $50 to get any archive papers for your car though. I would like to find the original reg number from the dealer that sold it in Florida.
