Friend had this model, albeit as a luxury van with lowtop, not as camper.
Was nice to sit in, the drive is typically 'murrican, easy and a little numb. It was the derv one, can't remember if 6.2 or 6.5.
It went quite remarkably, tremendous torque.
The 5.0 may struggle a bit with all that weight, but considering other campers are based on Ducatos all is relative.
Seems quite reasonably priced, though

18K for a 22yr old motor home would be putting me off , maybe 14 mpg if you’re lucky .

I'd have thought an Astrovan with the 4.3 V6 would be considerably cheaper (though still not great on juice)
