What Chevy engine is this?

Its a Chevy engine connected to an Audi A6 transmission. It looks to me like a 383 but this is not how it is described. Its described as a C5 corvette engine so an ls1? doesnt look like an ls1 to me although i admit my knowledge of american v8s is rather limited. Is this an ls1? Supposedly 6.3l and 550bhp

That's a small block Chevy. Not an LS engine.

No way to determine the size without measuring the bore & stroke.

^^ What Adam said. The C5 was only ever built with an LS. 550hp from a 383 (a stroked 350) is do-able.
