Hi everyone, I am new to this forum. I have a 2002 Grand Cherokee Overland 4.7l HO (51,000miles) and have owned a jeep for many years.
I am getting the fault code PO161 which indicates a faulty oxygen sensor bank2 sensor 2

I am having major problems getting any garage to work on this issue as they say they cannot get the part. We all know how useful Jeep Dealers are when it comes to the older vehicle

Does anyone know the best Oxygen sensor on the UK market that would fit my vehicle ideally name and product number, and if possible where i could buy .
I have had help from the US jeep forum who recommend a NKT sensor that fits my vehicle but these are only available from the US

Should I replace both downstream sensors or just the one that is faulty.

Any help would be appreciated.

You can easily order a lot of stuff from the US now - just have to be double sure you're getting the right piece as it's not that easy to return it.

If you are certain that this sensor is the problem, I'd replace both, because in my experience the second one will go about a week after the first one is fitted.

Thank you very much for responding.

Your advise is well founded as i understand that sensors can have different plug end, some round some oblong and some square

I appreciate your comment on replacing both ,by that do you mean both downstream sensors. bank I and 2
or do you mean replacing the upstream as well as the downstream sensor on bank 2.

Your advise would be appreciated.

I don't know the model you have but if it was me I would order all the sensors you need at once - you'll save on postage/waiting for delivery in the future.

The jeep I have is a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7l HO which has 4 sensors two pre and two post cat
At the moment the post cat bank 2 sensor has gone.

I am tempted to order all four but they are not cheap ,and I need to be 101% sure that the replacement works in my vehicle.
