07 Hemi - wanted a low cost SUV and this is on 40k miles and an overlander.

Dealers servicing it and changing the gearbox oil,

Quick question - I need a hands free, I don’t want to change the head unit but any suggestions?

Anything else I should know apart from 12mpg

If its an 07, what about a PURE DAB radio/handsfree? Brings you up to date with digital radio and music streaming plus your initial need for handsfree. Admittedly, it might look like the add on it is and you might be looking for something a bit more integrated.

Will that fit behind the head to the amp or does it use a FM modulator ?

Can do both I seem to recall. If you have aline out on your head unit or 3.5 aux it can go through that. I'm sure an '07 GC has an aux in?

I cant see a aux on the head unit - could it be in the glove box like some Mercs of the era? I can't check as car not here yet.

I thought there was a 3.5mm aux input on the front of the head unit on these? My mistake if not. Does the car have a CD multi-stack in the boot or under the seat? Do you use it? If not, maybe you could use its input to feed the Pure unit in. Best to check with an auto electrician though as this isn't really my forte.

You might find if you remove the head unit that it has an additional line-in at the rear anyway. Worth checking. Worst comes to the worst, it can operate on an FM frequency.
