Anyone replaced in-line shifter wire jumping harness Chevy?

Hi all,

I've recently had trouble shifting my Malibu to park. I read here https://lemonlawexperts.com/a-shift-in-focus-for-c... that you can shift the in-line shifter wire jumping harness and the problem should be resolved. Just wanted to see if anyone has actually tried this before I give it a shot.
