SBC engine rebuild, Kent
Discussion
Hi,
Can anyone suggest places to rebuild SBCs?
My IROC decided to spit out it's rear main seal last week (second drive of the year ) and the first I realised was when I heard the engine starting to knock.
I'm in touch with D&A Autos in Thanet, and I'm aware of Redline in Rochester and Roadcraft in Hove, but have I missed anyone?
There used to be someone near to me in Newchurch, but they seem to have disappeared. I don't have the time, space or equipment to pull the engine myself, so it'll have to be transported - someone as close as possible would be best!
Cheers,

Perhaps time to consider other options? - balance up the cost of a re-build against a new crate engine from someone like Real Steel or Roadcraft and get yourself a little more 'go' ?
Roadcraft sell Blueprint crate engines, so they would be my port of call. You could get a 383 short block from them for what a straight rebuild of your 350 would cost - or go the whole hog and buy a full Blueprint 383 stroker crate engine.
