I've been replacing my 96 Astro van's Numax battery every year if not twice a year. It doesn't seem to start in the mornings. Only when i jump start it or charge it up will it run.
I had a new starter motor fitted last week because of heat soak issues.
I charged the battery up then disconnected the positive terminal overnight. In the morning it still fails. So it can't be a drain issue.
I've ordered a solar panel top up and will get a power bank. I googled Numax batteries and they seem to suffer a lot on sulphurization.
Can anybody recommend an alternative side terminal battery and where to buy it?

Could you just get a standard battery and fit
Longer leads if they won’t reach ,
I’ve always had good experiences with Yuasa and exide batteries

Check the battery cables and connections for high resistance when you have the starting issue. If battery leads are very hot perhaps consider uprating cables with larger diameter (lower internal resistance)
