Gulf Racing Oil - circa'69 - found two Quart cans.....

I recently found two quart cans of Gulf Gulfpride GT oil in my Dad's loft
They are both full - not empty cans.

I'd guess they are circa 1969 as Dad was out in the US for the Can-Am series

So are they unusual - is this a racing oil - is it run of the mill stuff?
Any info about them would be appreciated - cheers
