No custom duty when importing a truck

Does anyone know how long do I need to be the owner of the truck in the US before there is no custom duty on it when importing it to the UK?

Probably the same as a car, from memory you have to have been the registered owner in the US for a minimum of 12 months plsu being able to prove you were residing there with utilities etc in your name. There should be no duty or imprt tax as far as I'm aware as long as you keep the vehicle in your ownership in the UK for a further 12 months, if you sell within this time any duty/import tax will be liable
