Hey guys, pretty new to the forum still (as well as the UK)....I finally got my 70 Chevelle over here and need some very basic work done on the exhaust. The last section of pipe is loose from the exit of the muffler. I took it to a local Kwikfit around the corner just to see if they could throw it on the ramps so I could have a better look, which they did....well by that I mean I drove it on and off the ramps, as the 25 year old kid had no idea how to drive the car, handle the performance clutch or where the parking brake was etc.

Seems a simple enough problem to fix but as I'm quite new to the UK I'm looking for resources or recommendations other than google for a good exhaust shop (that can handle 2.5" pipes as well - the kwikfit had no mounting brackets large enough) and knows how to take care of a classic. Good car guys if you know what I mean. I'm sure any shop I call will tell me they can handle it, but whether they will do it with care or not I don't know.

I'm living near to Banbury on the Cotswolds side, so Oxford isn't too far either. I don't want to have to drive the car 100s of miles for a shop, so just looking for some help if anyone knows anything somewhat locally.

Also, I considered asking I the Regional PH'ers forums but as I'm in North Oxfordshire, I'm not really sure if that counts as Thames Valley area (most of the posts are around things in the Reading area), but I'm not quite in the Midlands either......

Lastly, where's the good resources for local car meet ups for my area?

Thanks! I reached out to Ryan and he was quite busy at the moment, but gave me some other local names of good guys to contact. Appreciate the help.
