American luxury car rentals (in usa)
Discussion
Hi all
Need some help.
Had a disastrous afternoon booking a holiday.
Have vouchers for Aer Lingus and worked out a fortnight in Seattle.
I'm a fan of Sixt car rental as they lent me an X6M in Germany last year
(which I maxed at 164mph on the autobhan, with the mother in law on board, but thats another story)
So was very happy when their luxury special arm said I can have a merc s class (s550) for just £85 a day.

For those that dont believe me.
Naturally Aer Lingus now wont let us go there as we change to a united flight, and now are charging the same amount just to go to Boston.
Still thought hire the merc, drive down through New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, to Washington and fly out of there, good road trip.
Of course Sixt dont rent cars on the east coast, just three locations you've never heard of hundreds of miles from airports.
But worse than this ,the place nearest Boston want three times more for a 12 seat Chevy van (the only vehicle the Seattle branch has i can compare)
Been shopping about and the best i can find is Dollar rental which will give me a Chrysler 300 down as a "luxury" vehicle for £75 a day.
It'll be fine, but I'm a bit disappointed. Thought a luxury car would at least be a Cadillac or Lincoln.
Does anyone know of any good hire companies with good ranges?
I know the trick with Sixt to get the good cars, search luxury cars then change location, but cant find any nicer models on other websites for anything like sensible money.
