well that didn't last long! I went and bought myself what is possibly the best average mileage, unmolested Lightning in the country and I'm getting the itch to move back into a Mustang... I think that part of the issue for me is (weirdly) the L is just too good/civilised and I currently can't afford to have a play with the parts catalogue (plus it does seem to be a shame to mess with something so original). It's still bloody quick for something that size (actually it's quite quick full stop - 0 - 60 in a tad over 5 seconds is not exactly hanging around) but it doesn't make the same fuss that my old one did. The old one my mate heard from nearly a mile away as I was giving it some welly on my way home, this one you could likely drive past the vicar's tea-party and they'd barely raise an eyebrow frown

The good thing is that the value has shot up (partly due to the crappy £/$ rate) so I'll not lose on it - but then again so have all other Yank cars over here. Dilemma, dilemma, dilemma frown

I took a good mate of mine out in my Lightning for the first time on Saturday. He was surprised how quite it was and mine has a Borla exhaust on it. As my daily I quite like it this way. For noise I'll take the Hellcat but never to work.

I've seen a few poor ones at £13k/ish some good ones at £23k/ish (earlier this year some bloke managed to get £24k for a 92k mile 03, at the same time someone else got £15.5k for a low miles 04). As you can see values are all over the shop and the £/$ rate hasn't helped any (replacements for the States will cost an extra 20% or so over the same price 6 months ago).

oh and don't think I've not thought about going to straight throughs, that is still an option

Says the bloke who's just got an old man truck rofl (honestly though that is a seriously nice truck you've got!).

Truth be told I may know where I can lay my hands on some drop shackles and the zorst 'problem' is due to be resolved soon clap part of the issue is it is one of those too nice to mod vehicles (if there is such a thing!! lmao)

I need the old man truck for work but still have the lairy HD biggrin

No vehicle is too nice to mod. Unless you are chopping it up, all the parts can be put back to stock whenever you want.
