Best American car shows
Discussion
Hi All
Bought a 78 Firebird recently, my first American although I was a big fan in my youth and went to all the shows etc.
Bit out of touch now though, what are the "must do" shows for 2016? I see Billing is still on and Tatton Park, but are there any other smaller Yank friendly events. We are oop North which doesn't help.
We used to frequent Americana in the 90s but sort of fell out with it one year when the prices were jacked up from the year before and without notice. I still recall a family with kids in front of us stop and think twice at the gate whilst some grinning biker types held their hands out for their dosh. It was a bit sickening really, but I'm sure all these "lifestyle" weekend events are all suitably expensive now.

The NASC Summer Nats at Trinity Park Ipswich gets people from all over (I sold my old truck to some bloke from Doncaster) and is a great show - not just Yanks but (proper) custom cars too
When that show used to be in Herts it was amazing. Proper crazy nights too. Has it calmed down a lot? Been to the Trinity one twice aabout 5 years ago now and was a little disappointed.Mopar Euronats for the crew this year.

To the OP another show with a brilliant reputation is The Big Power Meet in Sweden - ok it's a little far for a day trip but, by all accounts, there are (something like) 20,000 cars at that show. I keep promising myself we'll go but each year we manage not to
