In his defence he saw the guys in high viz jackets by the gate and asked them if they wanted a burn out which they said yes, turns out they were not officalls which he did not know at the time, he was unfairly targeted by quite a few blaming him and putting his address up on forums and he was receiving a lot of threatening calls verbal abuse ect ect which was very un fair, he contacted brooklands himself to apologise as well as the Mopar club, brooklands were fine but a few club members were somewhat unpleasant towards him blaming him for a few things that were not true facts, but yeh he does enjoy driving it like he stole itThe driver was horrified to find that it was no burn-out rule and Vaughan is right in what he said ( thanks mate) lots of stick on line and threats what frightend his wife when home address was put on line ! He rang Brooklands and offered to go back and clean up but was told no need so made a large donation to the museum to apologise . Truth is a lot of mud slinging to hide the fact that a member of the club running the day wanted a cut of the gate money ! Not on for a skint museum ? You won't have seen the car on the road as its having major upgrade to 7.1 Lt Supercharged and a lot more . And I do drive it the way a V8 should be driven !!! And yes I am that driver . And again apologies to Brooklands . PAT

I was horrified that you were so vindicated for this. I've done loads of burnouts as places like the Street Rod Nationals, SummerNationals and so on. Some people love it and some people are just boring dicks.People kicking off about you doing that was pathetic. Strange country aren't we.
Sounds like you're building a beast! BURN-OUT!!

Sounds like fun.Glad you sorted it with Brooklands. I've heard of people going back to clean up before but a sizeable donation is a lot more useful.

Pat was blamed for the club not being invited back for a future event, but it was actually because the said person wanting a cut of the money and absolutely nothing to do with the burnout whatsoever , he was used as an excuse.
Well ive never been to brooklands before, but last year did have a night with Allan Winn the brooklands musuem director and David Nagle another director and the burnout on there piece of historic road WAS 100% why the 'club' was not invited back, but hey thats in the past and looks like the 'club' will be invited back due to one member doing his upmost to save the eventThe burnout by the 300C wasn't on the historic bit of the track, that's up by the entrance and you cross over it on entry/exit.
Someone did a burnout on that bit a couple of years ago when leaving a Mopar meet and had to go back and clean it up.
Strange really when you bear in mind how much of the circuit Merc have butchered.

I've only had my V8 Mustang a couple of months now and am on a course, courtesy of a police stop for dangerous driving, tomorrow.
Trying to tone it down but it's soooo hard.
I am guessing you never had that problem with the Marquis!?!?Trying to tone it down but it's soooo hard.
Probably because the Mercury spent all it's time in London but now I've moved further out I'm doing a lot more miles.
