Hi all,

So I've bought a 1971 Ford F100 Ranger XLT 390 from a chap up in Norfolk (I'm in the Midlands) and I have it sitting in my garage at the minute. I wanted to know what the process is for getting it registered, I have the V55/5 form and the First Tax form etc... But I'm a bit stuck as to what to do?

Do you have a MOT for the car?

You used to be able to walk into your local DVLA office and they would issue you a registration number.

Im not sure if the car will need an IVA Test? It might not need one if the car is a 1971 model?

I would phone the DVLA and ask what they need smile
