Shipping classic from the US
Discussion
I semi-regularly scan the US classifieds and have seen a late 60's 426 hemi that really ticks all the boxes for me.
I'm sure there's posts in the past covering this in detail but being very time-poor at the moment I'd appreciate any high level guidance, pointers or references to costs, procedures and pitfalls for shipping an older car to the UK from the US.
Thanks in advance.

Most sellers, if they're willing, will sort that out for you (unless it's private). I've shipped a couple of classics over, insured - one from the west coast, two from the east - all were $1500.
You just have to ensure you ask for it's own container, or else it might just be strapped down or worse. My last car (DeLorean) lost a tyre and aerial but it was a fixer anyway so was already rough. On a mint classic, I'd have cried!
