Morning

Father has passed away and left me with a couple of American cars to deal with.

Ford Thunderbird F reg 3.5 litre supercharged I think, with MOT, not taxed or insured.

Lincoln LS V reg 4.0 litre V8 I think, no MOT, tax or insurance.

No idea what to do with them and hoped someone would would be able to point me in the right direction to find someone who might know what they are worth and were to sell them.

Cheers
TJ

Firstly condolences. My dad died last year and I was going to scrap his car until a PHer kindly bought it.

Yank stuff tends to be worth a bit more than equivalent aged UK cars.

Post some pics if you can and age of the cars.

Look on eBay for similar models and see what they go for.

A year ago I bought a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis for £3000 and sold it 8 months later for £4500.

You maybe pleasantly surprised at what they may fetch.

I do like that Thunderbird, very nice.

Is that the Super Coupe with the super-charged 3.8 engine?

Thanks, its a pretty rare beasty now, only ever seen one other supercoupe on Uk roads.

Its a beauty really, yes supercoupe 3.8 litre super charged, tidy inside, everything seems to work even the keyless entry etc.

Few scraps and bangs but it is I think 25 years old.

I was amazed at what was on it when it came from the states all those years ago. Auto lights, rain sensors, auto seat belt etc, stuff we didn't see on European cars till years later.

Be a shame to break it up frown but I need the warehouse space and its been inside for the last 5 years only going out for the odd summer jaunt. Old fella would never let me sell it when he was alive.

That looks lovely. I have a thing for US cars of that era. Probably due to my first US road trips in the early 90s.

I have ordered the new Mustang but if I had spare cash and somewhere to park, I'd be sorely tempted.

I remember renting those in V8 form from Hertz when I used to go to San Francisco regularly. Lovely things! I'd have that if I had space....

Get them on eBay and PH. Lots of shots of interior, engine bay and boot.

I'm sure they'll sell.
