I have a ZT260 fitted with the above engine which is need of a thread repair to one of the spark plug holes.

I have found a local engineering shop who can repair it with an insert in situ, but they need me to move the fuel rail out of the way to gain access for the tooling.

The rail looks like it’s just attached with 2 screws and then pushed onto the injector O-rings, but presumably I need to release the fuel pressure in the rail before removing it?

The rail doesn’t need to be removed from the car, just moved a bit so hoping I can get away without having to undo the hose coupling on the end of the rail (which I believe requires a special tool?).

The tool you need is rarity on the shelves, a couple of small terminal screwdrivers will do the job, just fiddle around a little
