"The supercharger was provided by IHI, which also sells superchargers to AMG (higher-performance Mercedes). They worked with Chrysler to develop the specifications and design of the supercharger. Turbochargers were considered but the supercharger provides better “instant-on” torque.
The 2,380cc/rev blower has integral charge coolers (sometimes incorrectly called “intercoolers”) and an integrated electronic bypass valve to regulate boost pressure, up to 80 kPa (11.6 psi). Its twin-screw rotors are specially coated with a proprietary formula of polyimide and other resins; nanometer-sized, wear-resistant particles; and solid lubricants, such as PTFE (Teflon). The coating accommodates tighter tolerances, cutting air leakage for higher efficiency.
The new supercharger, sealed for life with synthetic oil, has a drive ratio of 2.36:1 and a maximum speed of 14,600 rpm. The one-way clutch de-coupler improves refinement without detracting from the engine noise. The supercharger gulps air through an Air Catcher inlet port, which replaces the driver’s-side inboard marker light and connects to a twin-inlet, eight-liter air box; the 92 mm throttle body is the largest ever used in a Chrysler Group vehicle."

So roughly the same as the gt500 from ford, interesting. Are there a lot of options you can add to these things when I ordered my gt500 there really wasn't a long list of extras to add.
Not at this time - manual (Tremec TR 6060- OK but a little agricultural as you know) or 8 sp rev-matching, paddle shift auto, plenty 'o' colors (retro Mopar stuff) and 4 interior options. Everything else comes with. Closer to delivery I think there could be some tire options, other than PZero.Such a desirable car, one to put in my imaginary "Tony Stark" garage.
Now in its sixth year of production, sales figures are up year on year.I'm pretty sure had they remained 2009-10 levels Fiat bosses would have canned the Chally, well done to the Italians for pushing ahead with this, at least 2 more years left in it yet.

It's so tempting I can feel my wallet itching every time I think about it, deeply regret selling the Challenger RT and got fed up of waiting for the 'vette to be built so sacked that off.
I'm determined to stick to my guns and take a break from cars for a couple of years to spend some time off roading, but if I can make a Hellcat happen (or Ford decide it's time for a Boss 302 with IRS) I might just have to. Incredible sounding thing.
I was a bit bummed out to hear SRT's fate which likely translates to there never being a Barracuda coming to the market. That would have me selling the house if I had to

707 bhp, that should keep the mind focused.
Any spec updates on this. Colours etc. No hemi orange or plum crazy.
I've got the green light from the missus and my spanner man has some very good contacts state side.
Nothing in the new car world has excited me one little bit for many years which is why I run a 10 year old Lightning as my daily driver.
But this is giving me an itch that I need to scratch .

Well that will be a beautiful car, i have owned my 09 SRT8 challenger for some 18 months and love it, driven daily and around 1200 miles a month its a great all rounder that sounds epic when you get on it yet sedate when you want it to be (corsa cat back system), a real modern day hot rod that still makes me smile, A LOT !
