2002 F150 Harley Supercharged running LPG

As above shouldn't be a problem if done properly and with a good system, as stated some engines need a lube which is a automatic system that adds lube but you have to keep it topped up, I run a 2009 Dodge challenger SRT8 6.1 as a daily and had a Prinz system fitted by a guy called Steve at Hants Auto Fuels very knowledgeable guy who did a lovely install on my car, my car does not need a lube system but the chevys do, try and find out which system has been fitted as there are a few good ones, then call steve and get his advice as to whether its a good system or bad, I have no regrets with mine as it makes it an affordable car to drive daily, I do around 200 miles a week and costs me about £40 in gas, used to be £100 a week in petrol.

hi all sorry to piggy back this, but I have a 01 chevy express 8.1L big block and going to have a prinz system fitted just wanted to know if you had any more info on the lube system thanks
Basically what will happen is the installer will check with prinz whether your particular engine requires a lubricant, if it does they will fit an automatic system that adds lubricant to the fuel mixture to prevent engine wear, you just need to keep it topped up and that's that, the guy I used Steve at Hants auto fuels was recommended to me by a friend with a chevy truck who uses Steve, great knowlagable guy who has many years experience well worth a call :-) 911mark911 said:
hi thanks for that, I will check once it has been fitted thanks for the info
No I would ask him to check before you have the system fitted. While you can retrofit it, which I had done. This will be more costly as you need to rewire some of the loom and then re flash the prinz ecu for the lube. This then will let you know once you have run out if lube by beeping and then after 30mins will lock you out of using LPG until you put a new lube on. Chances are you will need the lube fitted.Gassing Station | Yank Motors | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
