Hi, I have a 2001 Grand Cherokee and have a starting problem . It started a few weeks ago , I stopped to get some petrol and the car would not start . In the fuse box under the bonnet one of the two green relays ( the one in the top right hand side ) was making a ticking sound . A mechanic advised me to bypass this which I did and the car started no problem , but if I did not disconnect the battery at night or for a long period of time the battery would go flat . I could live with this for a few weeks but last week as I was driving the car stalled on me whilst in motion . I stopped the car and it started again but after 40-50 meters it stopped again , this carried on until I got home . Now it won't start at all , the immobiliser is active all the time . I have tried everything . The red light on the dash board stays on and when I turn they key to the start position the Guages don't work . I have changed the battery's on the remote and whilst this will lock the car it won't open it . I am really stuck , I live in the middle of nowhere in France and I have had an auto electrician out and he could not help . I am sure it's the immobiliser . Please can someone help ???

Regards

Andrew
