2001 jeep grand Cherokee clunking noise

Hello,

I have a 2001 grand Cherokee and when I go over 50mph I get a clunk from what I thought was the gear box but I have been told it could be something else . Anyone had the same problem , grateful for some advice please .

drive upto 50 with the o/d off, does it do the same?
