hi all I have just bought a 2001 chevy express 3500lt with the 8.1 v8 it has 285/50/20 tyres but what is a good tyre pressure would you recommend

The same as standard, whatever it says in the Manuel.

I think the OP is asking as they are not the original wheel/tyre combo, they are probably not even rated for that vehicle as they should have tyres with a 120 load rating, OP post up the tyre brand & size etc.

hi they are x load 285/50r/20 116h xl m+s fullrun tyres thanks for any advice
I am running 40psi at the moment

Standard pressure on the OEM tyre for a HD vehicle could be as high as 70psi.

My old truck had that as standard but I ran them at 45 to get a bit of play in the sidewall.

20's would normally be about 32psi. What's the maximum pressure written on the tyre?
