Mercury Grand Marquis
Discussion
I have started a few threads over the year(s) about wanting a Ford Crown Victoria. I know, a big wallowy barge but I just have the need to scratch that itch. If someone rented them out over here, I'd do that but the only hire ones I see are for promos, weddings and film work and come with a driver.
Now I could spend a small fortune and just head to the US and rent one, whilst they are still about or buy one like this:

It's posher brother the Mercury.
Now I don't think that's a 2005. It may have been brought here then but I believe it's older but I'm no expert. Mileage seems very low and what does Canadian edition signify. Oh! and it seems to be one of a few cars advertised recently as being in Casino Royale.
Any help gratefully received, Cheers.

Good price if it's genuine.
Ask him for either the reg (why do people blank out reg numbers on photos?) or VIN.
Once you've got the VIN the age is easy to identify.
Then go to www.decodethis.com and put the VIN in. It will give you most of the spec, albeit in slightly generic terms.

Croyde where are you based? I don't think that you will find anyone in this country who would rent you a car to try for a day or so as most are rather precious over their Crown Vics however I might be able to point you in the right direction should you just want to see one in the flesh. To be honest these days it is quite common for a cop car to turn up to a car show... I see more and more every year.
I have a 1992 Crown Vic police package and I love it - great fun to drive and it has a story to tell.
