Slightly off topic, but it'd be interesting to know given similar prep what the previous gen could have achieved. Maybe a well specced SS or a Firehawk on the same sort of rubber.

Brakes I would agree. Suspension probably not, the 1LE performance pack (optional) worked quite well with different springs, sway bars and I think dampers.
Power also not a problem as they all made way more power than advertised and they weigh a lot less than the 5th Gens. Power is circa 330-345bhp+ and can weigh in as low as 1530kg. Maybe slightly less.
That said, I don't doubt they'd be slower, just interested as you never seem to see such things.
