7:37 with a top speed of 161mph.

Good to see the wipers work and fairly sure he was on slick tyres

Not bad for a leaf-sprung car that can't go round corners.

It's not leaf-sprung though ....or am I hearing a macaw passing my flappers?

Pretty decent result for a Yank tank on a damp track smile

Slicks ?, would have thought the tyres would be road legal for them to advertise it, otherwise 'other' mods could also be used.

Standard car runs some special sticky road legal Pirellis, so assume I'd it's these.

Slightly off topic, but it'd be interesting to know given similar prep what the previous gen could have achieved. Maybe a well specced SS or a Firehawk on the same sort of rubber.

No where near at a guess. Suspension too soft, not enough power, brakes not big enough etc...

Brakes I would agree. yes

Suspension probably not, the 1LE performance pack (optional) worked quite well with different springs, sway bars and I think dampers.

Power also not a problem as they all made way more power than advertised and they weigh a lot less than the 5th Gens. Power is circa 330-345bhp+ and can weigh in as low as 1530kg. Maybe slightly less.

That said, I don't doubt they'd be slower, just interested as you never seem to see such things. smile

Saw quite a few 4th Gens at the Ring on tourist days to be honest, but they seem to be quite slower.

Wouldn't mind having a go in one though smile
