ANYTHING is possible... £££ are usually the limiting factor. As regards a V6-V8 swap the best place to research that (IMHO) is going to be a US site (maybe http://www.s197forum.com/forum/index.php) which may advise of pitfalls etc. Find a wrecked S197 over here (or speak with Zubair) likely not to be a 'cheap' fix - but then nothing will be zag earl said:

Not just that. Someone I know was going to do this but the whole drivetrain/spline thing means a new rear axle is required from a V8 too. You'll just have to hawk round for a wrecked V6 through Cut Maple or someone like that. Try Mike at ModurStang who may be able to point you in the right direction.
Blimey not heard of that before, what mileage was on the car ? standard or modded lump ? curious as I had one that I sold earlier in the year and had done 60k issue free and sold it to a friend, I knew there was a rep who had one on LPG and had done circa 200k issue free, just curious if you have any idea what had caused it
Hope you can find a lump ok.

59567 on the clock had it 3 years this xmas, done about 1000 miles in it, looks like the balancing shaft sprocket slipped chain sliped destroyed the nylon guide, throw chain off timing went and bang, looked on some sites on net and seems its 2005/2007,then ford but it right late 2007,sprocket is only held in place buy the force of the bolt, its not on a taper, and also sub standard nylon on tensioner, seems iv been unlucky that its done so much damage, it only ran for about 20 seconds backfired and I new then it was timing problem so left it till stripping.
