I've always regretted selling my old F350. I've since had an F250 and currently have an F150, but there was something about the old duallie that I really miss.

I've had a good look around the usual places, but can't see anything available in the UK. So, before I go down the route of browsing ebay US, does anyone know of any up for grabs over here? Doesn't have to be a Ford, although the Silverado isn't that common over here, and I'm not 100% convinced of the Cummins in the Dodge (I've got a thing for V8's). If Ford, it needs to be 2008-onwards, as the 6.0 Powerstroke is notoriously unreliable, so probably the 6.4. The 7.3 was a fantastic piece of kit in the 350, but anything with one of these fitted will be 10+ years old now. Budget up to around £30k.

Last time I posted this request, Zubair came up with a contact, which led to the original F350, so it may work....

So you won't want a 2000 F350 Powerstroke, then. Chipped etc to 450bhp, with truck camper?

Sold, apparently. I phoned him a couple of weeks ago. It's exactly what I'm looking for though.

As for the other replies, the Ram I'm not convinced by, unless anyone out there has personal experience they'd like to share, and the 7.3 is a little long in the tooth now.

It's looking increasingly likely that I'll end up getting one from US. Does anyone know if there are any issues with bringing a duallie in and obtaining IVA?

GVW must be under 6,500kg.

Pick up bed must be less than 40% of the overall length of the vehicle.

Class M1 passenger car test and register it as an MPV.

Slight change of plan; there's a definite lack of decent F350's, so had a look at some alternatives. And decided a Raptor would fit the bill. Very few in the UK, and the classifieds don't have many, other than some nutter who thinks adding a supercharger miraculously adds £40,000 to the asking price (subsequently reduced to £20,000 over the cost of a new one; a bargain!).

A call to 51st State has bagged this...

Now the long wait for it to be shipped over.

Anyone want a clean 2006 F150?

Good man! Best vehicle I've ever had and certainly the one I regret getting rid of the most.

They do like a gas station or two though! Even more than my supercharged 150 according to a mate who ran one for a while.

A guy on MOCGB got rid of his as it was doing less MPG than his Ford GT.

Still a great truck though.

I've seen figures of between 11-14mpg quoted, but suspect they're US gallons, so probably 12-16. Not much worse that my current F150 which gives around 16 mpg, or the Camaro at 18. I'll probably put LPG on it.

Never driven one yet. Stu/Roo; what were your impressions?

You get 16mpg! You must drive like an old woman!

Only joking, I can get that from my Roush Harley on the motorway with cruise, but around town it will be 10 or less with 12-13 overall average.

My current one is only a 4.6, and is running on LPG. It's never going to set the world on fire, so I don't drive it like it will. The Camaro's for 'spirited' driving. Have to say the Chevrolet LSx series is one of my all time favourite motors, although I've yet to drive the Ford 6.2. Anyone got any experience?

12 US MPG was about the average for me.

General impressions, doesn't feel radically different to the normal F150 for the daily grind, you're definitely aware it's wider and the ride is buttery smooth with the fox shocks. Lots of fun to chuck around - you think you're near the limit because it rolls quite a bit, but you're nowhere near. Certainly the most fun I've had in a truck, I'd like another next year if business goes well. Without a doubt the best truck money can buy if you don't need an HD in my opinion.
