I just received my renewal notice for my 71 Torino from Footman James.

Or should that be "unrenewal notice".
After insuring my classic yank with them for 6 years apparently I'm now not insurable!!!
They basically just told me they can't offer me a renewal.

Luckily Adrian Flux where happy to take my money and saved me £26 in the process.

So thumbs down Footman James and thumbs up Adrian Flux!

Let us know if you feel the same should you ever need to use their customer services!!!
I insure with Adrian Flux.

I had an accident a few years back, claimed and they couldn't have been easier or nicer to deal with.

Not associated with them in anyway, just telling of my experience.

Curious as to why they say you're now not insurable?

I'm also with Adrian Flux for the Escalade and any time I've called about direct debits, policy details changing etc I've always found them to be helpful and straight forward.

So far so good anyway!

It's usually the underwriters moving the goalposts or becoming uncompetitive or simply moving out of the market.
A-Plan used to be great for Mustangs then suddenly lost insurers and had to major on cars over 7 years old and under £15k.
That's when I moved to Classicline who are very good and cheaper and give you free breakdown recovery.

Never had any luck with Flux since the 90s, wanting stupid immobilisers and half the time not even able to get them to answer the phone.

As LS1fer said it was something to do with the underwriters changing the goalposts.
None of my details or circumstances had changed at all.
I would've shopped around a bit more but it was the day my insurance was running out and didn't want to leave the old girl uninsured.
Maybe next year I'll take the time to look at some of your suggestions.
Many thanks all.
