Performance item - it has centre-hung float bowls - if you take a look on the air horn you should find I.D marks - do a Google search on these and you should be able to find out A. if it was a OEM fitment to a car B. what cfm it is and what jets etc were originally fitted if an 'over the counter' item. It looks dirty and dusty - could well be knackered!

It's been a few years since I had one of these but mine didn't have or need a choke smile

'Race' and performance carbs do not generally come with choke - someone may have milled it off if originally fitted - as other poster said choke is not needed - just a couple of pumps or the gas pedal and 'feather' it till it warms up a little.

Buy the speedpro holley carb book..Very good for stripping down and re-building.
Its deffo a double pumper, It deffo has centre hung floats It also has a secondary metering block.
4150 designated carbs are good.
That looks like a good bit of kit you have there for a big engine, from a drag or race car.

Double pumpers on a street car tend to run too rich and wash the bores if you are not careful.

As the man says - DP especially with auto TX is potentially a dubious choice unless on a lightweight car with high numerical rear axle ratio - whilst a 'performance' carb things have moved on somewhat - your unit only has idle screws for primaries - most aftermarket generic 'Holley' type carbs now have ' 4 corner' idle screws - (one for each choke) and removeable/replaceable idle bleed jets - makes carb tuning far easier if you have a 'hot cam' and resulting low engine vacumn.
